Our commitment
LoopSmiths is committed to making our website usable by everyone, and we aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
We say aim deliberately. The site has not been independently audited, so we are describing how we build rather than claiming a result somebody else has verified.
What we do
These are practices actually in place on this site:
- Semantic HTML with a clear, ordered heading structure and one main heading per page.
- Every interactive control reachable and operable with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator at every step.
- Text contrast measured against the colour it actually sits on, in both the light and dark sections, rather than estimated.
- Accessible names on interactive controls, including where a repeated button needs to say which one it is.
- Layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling from small phones up to large desktop screens.
- Respect for your operating system reduced-motion setting, described below.
Reduced motion
This site uses movement to show structure: sections arrive as you reach them, a progress line follows you through the delivery process, and the capability section changes as you scroll.
If you have asked your device to reduce motion, we honour that. The opening animation is shortened, elements appear in place instead of moving, decorative movement is switched off, and progress indicators are shown complete rather than filling.
Nothing is hidden as a result. Every part of the site remains readable and every control keeps working with motion reduced.
Known limitations
Being straight about what we have not done is more useful than a clean bill of health:
- This site has not had an independent accessibility audit.
- The homepage opens with an animated sequence. It can be dismissed with any key or click, and it is shortened when reduced motion is set, but it has not been tested with every assistive technology.
- The homepage includes an interactive scenario board and a scroll-driven capability section. Both are built to standard patterns and are keyboard operable, but scroll-linked interfaces are harder to verify than static ones.
- We test with keyboard navigation and measured contrast. We have not tested against every screen reader and browser combination.
If any of this stops you using the site, we would rather hear about it than not know.
Assistive technology and alternative formats
You are welcome to use any assistive device or software to access this site.
If you need information from this website in a different format, ask us and we will do what we reasonably can to provide it.
